When Logic Slipped and Symbols Rose
Titles: 3, The Order of Balance · 9 is Divine · 6 is Sublime 3 + 3 = 7
Created during the isolation of lockdown, this triptych reflects the absurdity, dissonance, and surreal logic of the COVID era. Each panel features embossed, symbol-like forms in metallic relief — a visual language of emotion, disruption, and coded protest. The numbers and titles reference the nonsensical, contradictory rules imposed during the pandemic, where logic bent and meaning fractured.
Gold, silver, and copper — elemental and alchemical — are pressed into forms that feel both ancient and invented. These are not equations to be solved, but energetic transmissions from a time when nothing quite added up.
The panels hum with a sacred irrationality:
• 3 offers a sense of balance, a triadic harmony in a destabilised world.• 6 collapses meaning into poetic absurdity, where 6 becomes 7 through emotional logic, not arithmetic.
• 9 whispers completion and divine inquiry amidst uncertainty.
Together, these works are both a mirror and a mystery — reminders that during times of collapse, truth may emerge not through order, but through symbol, sensation, and soul.
