Triptych with Love Series I and III
This painting is a declaration of romance—not the fleeting kind, but the soul-deep union that exists beyond time. Love Series II, along with Series I and III, is my devotional exploration of romantic love in its most mythic and embodied form. A language of longing, merging, and divine recognition.
Here, I allowed the heart to guide the form—literally and symbolically. The twin hearts at the centre emerge like two souls orbiting one another, connected by an arrow of light. That arrow—silvered, dotted, deliberate—is Cupid’s gift and also an initiation. It pierces gently, not to wound, but to awaken; not to divide, but to align.
The background glows with layered, patinated gold—its texture weathered, molten, alive. It speaks to the sacred terrain lovers must cross: the vulnerability, the mystery, the surrender. And yet, amidst the layered history and echo of past unions, love remains sovereign—glowing, graceful, and ever-new.
Curving flourishes around the hearts dance like vows, unspoken promises, or the magnetic pull of two beings remembering one another across lifetimes. And in the background, a greater, shadowed heart rises—timeless, archetypal, the one heart beneath all others.
Love Series II is my ode to the sacred romance—the eternal return of two into one, again and again. It is the vulnerability of loving with eyes open, hearts bared, and destiny embraced. Alongside Series I and III, this work captures the intimate alchemy of romantic love: wild, true, and profoundly divine.
